With the big brow trend showing no signs of ageing, I thought I’d share how I fill in mine. There are a number of products and formulas on the market at the moment from felt tips to pencils to wax to powder and I prefer the latter.
I always start by brushing through my brows with a spoolie (which I obviously forgot to photograph) and then go in with an angled brush and a powder product. Nine and a half times out of ten i’ll use Omega eyeshadow by MAC and apply it with the ECOTools angled liner brush, applying in brush like strokes and extending the tail of my brow slightly. Then I go over the bushy bit with the wax half of the Sleek MakeUp Brow Kit in light to hold the longer hairs in place, giving me a natural(ish) defined brow.
If you’re on a budget the Sleek brow kit is an excellent all rounder which I did use alone for a while however I do find the powder half to be a little warm for my cool toned blonde hair.

Topshops make up line has been nothing but a huge success since its launch a few years ago. Adding to their eclectic, high fashion high street clothing brand, the cosmetics range includes trend products as well as everything needed for complete base.
The makeup line follows suit from the reasonably priced garments which the store holds and offers a good quality product for a good price. The lipsticks from the line are priced at eight pounds each and come in a number of formulas and an extensive array of colours.
Pictured here are the standard lipsticks which come in both satin and matte finishes. The products glide on nicely and are feel creamy and nourishing on the lips. The colours are completely opaque when applied from the bullet or can be used sparingly by patting on a smaller amount of the product which provides more of a lip stain effect.
Overall, I am pleased with the quality of the lipsticks for the price and would purchase more from the line.

The Origins Drink Up Intensive is an overnight mask to quench skins thirst and hydrate for the next day. I have very dry, dehydrated skin which sometimes feels quite sore and can look very dull in the morning so hydration and radiance are the two main features I look for in skincare items.
I picked up a sample of the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask around a week ago and have used it a few times since. I find that the morning after my skin feels soft and hydrated and looks plump and glowing – something which I struggle to achieve with a normal night cream.
The consistency is very thick but soaks in quickly and feels similar to a standard moisturiser. The mask is exceptionally hydrating and does everything it claims to do exceeding expectations. It used Japanese seaweed to repair the skins moisture barriers therefore providing a long lasting result meaning that I imagine I would only use it two to three times a week.
The product smells fresh and fruity which is lovely however may be something to consider if you have particularly sensitive skin.

Whittling down my nude lip collection to just five products was harder than getting out of bed this morning. I wear nude lips all day everyday; to lectures, shopping, meeting friends, dates with my boyfriend, nights out – you name it, i’ll sport a nude lip for it. I do like to mix things up a little on the rest of my face so I’m pretty clued up on what formula goes with what eye look and so on. Without further a do, my current top five.
The Gloss – Tanya Burr for Eye Candy Lipgloss in Chic. Tanya Burrs lip gloss offerings are divine. Sweet smelling, non-sticky and in a plethora of shades to suit everyone. Upon release, I obviously got excited about the nudes and opted for Chic. This gloss delivers a ‘my lips but nuder’ pout with a stunning sheen making the lips appear fuller and working perfectly with glowy, candlelit skin.
The Mac Nude – Mac Lustre Lipstick in Freckletone. I had to include an offering from Mac, Mac lipsticks are by far my favourite and Freckletone is probably my most used lipstick of the moment. Freckletone goes with everything, it adds glamour to a smokey eye, looks pretty in the day and would work perfectly with all skin tones. Thumbs up from me.
The Easy Nude – Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Tantalizing Taupe. Slightly more pink in tone, this shade would be ideal for those who are scared of nudes or feel that some nudes wash them out. This shade has a easy glide on formula and looks lovely with an everyday face.
The No Makeup Nude – Maybelline Baby Lips in Peach Kiss. This is a perfect nude for wearing with no makeup as it is sheer and subtle whilst still offering a nude hue and a slight shimmer making you look that little bit more polished. I like this for going to the gym or on days where my lips are too chapped for a normal lipstick.
The Nude Lip Pallette – Sleek MakeUp Lip Pallette In Ballet. If you’re unsure what to go for, a lip pallette is perfect as it offers a selection of shades similar to each other in different formulas and with different undertones so you can see which works best for you. The Sleek Lip Pallette offers four shades, two satin, one matte and one gloss which can be mixed or worn separately.
